Why we started Pet Care Store

Pet Care Store began with a familiar problem: I wanted to buy the right things for my dog and cat from a Canadian shop and kept landing on the same three options -- a giant chain that didn't really care, a marketplace listing with broken English and surprise duty fees at the door, or a beautiful boutique with three products and a six-week wait. None of them quite worked.

How we choose what we carry

Every product on the store is evaluated against four questions before it makes it into our catalogue:

1. Does it actually solve a problem for Canadian pet parents? Q-Max cooling matters more in Toronto than in Tucson; salt-resistant paw boots matter more in Ottawa than in San Diego.
2. Is the build quality real or just packaging? We read every spec sheet, cross-check materials, and (where possible) test in our own homes.
3. Are the reviews legitimate? We watch for review-farming patterns and weight verified-purchase reviews more heavily.
4. Can we get it to a Canadian doorstep reliably? If the supply chain is unstable, we don't carry it.
